I never used web washer - however I do use google's free address bar/pop-up blocker and am quite happy with it to clean the system I use Clean-up and Scotty (WinPatrol) watches over it all. I have WinPatrol set so no cookies are saved as it doesn't bother me to have to sign in everytime I visit a site that needs so. In my humble opinion ya can't beat AVAST! as a antivirus haven't had a problem since I installed it with AVG I did now and again. I finially paid for it because I thought they deserved it. My P-4 2.4 XP-Pro sings and with cable my internet speed was near 6,000 down and 350 up last I checked so it is all good enough for me. speed was inportant for me a few years back as I did online gaming but been a while since I did that (maybe I grew up?. . . . NAH!) so i am quite content now. As to slowwww??? I think what's slowing this one down is the Norton 2006.. It always used to before when I used it. It was installed in this one at purchase time. I didn't want to go online empty handed and I had two choices.. one was Norton and one was Mc Afeeeeeeee--NOT!! in the set up package ..so I went Norton. and at THAT I had to reinstall it.. LOL. but at least it's working. Other than THAT??? nothing too weird..
