Darryl,
Changing an icon for a hard drive partition requires the use of a
properly formatted autorun.inf file (which won't work over a networked
resource). However, it's very easy to make a shortcut to the Mapped
folder/partition/whatever and then change the icon that shortcut uses. It
won't pretty up your Windows Explorer or My Computer view, but it'll sure
stand out on your Start button menu, SendTo menu or Desktop.

Peace,
G Man

Just curious, as I map harddrives and parititions to empty folders etc,
seeing as the icon for mapped drives and the mapped folders ends up being
the same, have you G-Man or anyone found a way of customizing the icon, it
lets you then proceeds to not hold the setting ofter you press OK :) I am
using XP but I am sure you can change icons in ME 2k can't ya ??
