Try
Ctrl-Shift-E
that's the keyboard shortcut for new folder and see if the box
pops up to input new folder name.

I get absolutely nothing. No error, the option is there both
under "file"
and also right clicking the "inbox" but when I select "New
Folder" nothing
happens.
