Patricia, I also am running Windows XP SP3 and I also downloaded all of 
those updates.  So far I have not had any problems.  That is not to say I 
won't since your problems did not appear immediately.  I will keep you 
posted if anything unusual pops up.  If I shut down I will have no way of 
reaching you.
