Thanks Eddie and you are correct, it is the recycle bin and I shortened the 
path to it. I had deleted the recycle bin and I only log into this system 
from non Administrator privileges but I will try again. If it locks up as I 
fully uninstalled the app and used regedit to clean the remaining files. If 
it does freeze up I will take note of the file and log in as administrator. 
I doubt it is a virus but it may well be, thanks much and I'll report 
back......
