Ok, big Acronis fan as Ghost image failed me awhile back. Using Acronis I
format, add my drivers and most important apps, email and use Acronis to
make a image of it. I had used it before but this time my hard drive died so
I said no biggie since I have the Acronis image. I popped in the Acronis
bootdisk and to my surprise, I selected the image file on D: drive and it
said " not an Aconis Image "..so I had another image on the D: drive and
same thing. So I plug in my USB hard drive with the exact image that was on
D: and bam, valid Acronis Image......I ran recover and it took much longer,
I assumed because it was reading the external drive and not my extra D:
drive. After complete restore I rebooted and hardware error came up..the
image did not take for some reason and failed, where it had before. And why
did Acronis not confirm the image on drive D: but on the USB? Gman may
know..
