you can get Windows to check the main system files for you. Put in your XP CD,
and then open the run box and type "sfc /scannow". That will then take a while
to run ,and will check and replace any bad system files for you.

Plus as Sir Troth said a good registry cleaner program should help also.

Hope that helps,

My Win XP is having problems in booting and shuting off the system...so I
must start up many times in "SECURE BOOT UP" (something like that).

Is there any prog to chek and fix the registry of win xp?

or any good prog to chek the hole integrity of the XP system? (may be some
NORTON or something like that)

Thanks!!
Rod
