I am with you 100%, Linda and Hector, I don't condone everything Microsoft does... but most of it has changed the world and the lives of most of us for the better. I also agree that there is a lot of envy and pettiness in Microsoft bashing... but... if you were to mention Yahoo... well...:o)) Having said that, this Palladium worries me. I wonder about the future of the Internet... It is becoming far removed from what its creators intended it to be. Although that is the nature of evolution (technological, I mean!) I still wonder where we will be 10 years from now? Well, I personally found that to be a very interesting read, Hector. Thank you for presenting a side of Microsoft that many people don't choose to look at. Appropriate too since tomorrow is the day it is (omg...look at the time! Tomorrow is today. LOL) And I have to add that Bill does some amazing charity stuff that he doesn't advertise all over the place. I too have bashed MS when they've pulled a few that rocked my boat....but, all in all, I think the people who bash MS the most are jealous of ol' Bill What I always say is....if Linux or BeOS or Lindows ever become the size of Microsoft, they will be the SAME as Microsoft....does anyone actually believe that these OSs would remain this pure if they were this successful? They would have to change to suit the masses and they would have to do whatever it took to remain on top. It is, I'm afraid to say, the American Way, and Bill is a genius at how he plays it.
