Well, I personally found that to be a very interesting read, Hector.
Thank you for presenting a side of Microsoft that many people don't
choose to look at.

Appropriate too since tomorrow is the day it is (omg...look at the time!
Tomorrow is today. LOL)

And I have to add that Bill does some amazing charity stuff that he
doesn't advertise all over the place. I too have bashed MS when they've
pulled a few that rocked my boat....but, all in all, I think the people
who bash MS the most are jealous of ol' Bill

What I always say is....if Linux or BeOS or Lindows ever become the size
of Microsoft, they will be the SAME as Microsoft....does anyone actually
believe that these OSs would remain this pure if they were this
successful? They would have to change to suit the masses and they would
have to do whatever it took to remain on top. It is, I'm afraid to say,
the American Way, and Bill is a genius at how he plays it.

i presume this was copied to this list as a news item, correct?

anyway, i am as much a ms detractor as anyone, or have been. but
recently i
became aware of the theft from ms. pirated software. not just users in
america, but all over the world, india, china, japan, taiwan, great
britain,
russia...everywhere. in america, there are the techs the hackers the
users.....and businesses, and......the goverment.
i understand some dept was using novell software and invited ms in to
compare
it, whereupon ms discovered the amount of pirated ms software in use by
the
us goverment and thereby got the depts bizness as the amount required to
pay
for all the software stolen was astronomical. os and word and excell and
etc
etc

hm. gates is richest in the world. ms is wonderful on the stock market.
millions use its software and thousands get paychecks from it directly.
many
many more get jobs related to it, mcse 's etc........and it is ripped
off to
the tune of billions all over the earth......where else is american
bizness
so strong or so stolen from? what else is powering industry and
producing
jobs in america?

dell recently moved much of its tech support to india.
many businesses are moving to canada, socialized med seems to make it
far
cheaper as well as lower biz taxes,
etc etc
but ms is here.

so, i hate the same things re os software as were mentioned in this
article,
vehemently, but ms is at the moment as patriotic a company in effect as
i
know, and
the most successful.

so i thot id add these thots to that article.

thanks.
