The splitter for HS internet is different than for cable only. It uses the same cable but the old cable isn't always up to specifications. I've read many times where someone tried to use a regular department store splitter for HS internet and had numerous problems. The cable company *should* run the cable and hook it up. Most do around here. They won't hook your network up, though, and they won't help with a router or a firewall. Luckily it isn't hard to do yourself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ On 1/11/2003 at 7:08 PM a whisper was heard, and the one known as John82654@xxxxxxx was rumoured to have uttered.... | In a message dated 1/11/2003 4:08:21 PM Eastern | Standard Time, | gulfbreeze57@xxxxxxxxxxxxx writes: | | > | > I had cable internet for a little while and there was a | cable already in | > the | > house right where the computer was sitting.
