My hubby has learned how to turn off my son's computer....I won't give my son
any ideas about boot up sounds, he would love them!! He doesn't have the loud
fans on purpose tho - just because those were the ones he could afford. Maybe I
should consider quiet ones for a Christmas present !! He'd love to get his
hands on my computer....
I prefer a very quiet computer. That way I can hear all the noises around me!
LOL and those eyes that mother's have in the back of their heads work much
better!!

I can't stand computer noise. I have quiet fans in the front, rear, and one=
=20
side. Low hum, but that is it. I probably have one or two more heat=20
dissipators than I really need, but my office is small and no air vents, so=
=20
the more heat I can control, the cooler.

Our neighbor's son on the other hand hooked his computer up to four foot=20
tall speakers. The sound of an F-16 taking off a carrier deck plays every=20
time he boots up. I can't wait for him to boot up at the wrong time while=20
his mother is trying to sleep. <g>
