Betty,
It sounds like your system is in dire need of a good hard drive
cleaning. That would entail emptying the Temporary Internet Files, clearing
out various Temp folders and then the Recycle Bin before running a full
CHKDSK and finally Defragmenting the drive. If you need instructions for
any of these, just give a yell. :O)
