Betty,
    Reboot your computer and then try to read the file again.  If it still 
doesn't open quickly (no conversion should be needed as long as the copy on 
your hard drive opens fine), we'll assume that the disk is now a drink 
coaster and start up a conversation on the best ways to burn stuff.
