Set HDs to Auto in the BIOS, not all BIOSes allow this.

When my computer boots up it recognizes the CDROM, I'd like it to
confirm the HDD's or at least the C-Drive.  I've tried to change this in
the bios but have been unsuccessful.  Can anyone help with this?
