Sounds like the CMOS battery going bad.  On a few MoBo's these can be
replaced.  Others are soldered.

On 3/25/2003 at 4:52 PM a whisper was heard, and the one known as Rick was
rumoured to have uttered....

          |  I have changes going on in the BIOS with a PC I'm

          |  reboot it, the changes stay, (and I've rebooted it more thn 15
          |  times), but
          |  when I shut it off, and then shut off the power to the cord,
          |  and then turn
          |  it on the next day, the settings in the BIOS change. I had to
          |  enable the USB
          |  ports after rebooting it the next day. I did a virus check and
          |  found no
          |  errors, but that really doesn't mean there isn't a virus in
          |  there. And, the
          |  virus software is Norton 2K, and up-to-date. Can a battery
          |  with low power
          |  affect this??? Or, what can affect this??? The OS is Win/98SE.
