If you do not have an answer as of yet, here is what I know - AVG. pro has a
few very little things that AVG Free does not (Ad Watch which alerts you to
any changes on your system such as Registry Key changes which could be
something you do not wish to have happen.

I have the Pro on one machine and the Free on another - they update at the
same time with the same definitions, both scan incoming and outgoing emails,
both can be scheduled to do a scan when you wish.

I have one of each as I felt the company should be rewarded for their
excellent work on behalf of the community.

Try the Free version, you'll like it; if not, then you could try Avast
Free.

Hope to have been of some help.

 Andy
