XP can be formatted in FAT or NTFS. I'm not a gamer, so I don't know what
compatibility is right, but I do remember buying a game back when W98 had
only been out a month and it wouldn't work on that, so compatibility between
Windows flavours  has always been a problem, but they are usually 'worked
around' by people much cleverer than I!!
