-=PCTechTalk=- Outlook express 6.0- saving attachments

I could have sworn, that at least at some point in time, when I would save
attachments in my e-mail, that the folder that I saved them to would remain at
the last folder that I browsed to. Now - it ALWAYS reverts back to my [
C:\documents and settings\cris\my documents ] folder. This is so
frustrating and time consuming.
Was this that one windows update? or am I confusing it with something else? Is
there any way to get it to not revert back?
Right now I just highlight, and paste the file path in for where I want it to
go - but EVERY TIME gets very old when I'm trying to save pictures or things
from a bunch of e-mails !!
