This is more for Craig Fowler, but I have noticed it on 3 XP machines, so it may help everyone. I was in the same boat. I'd downloaded a ripper of a video, went to watch it an XP box, and received the same error as Craig So I updated to the WiMP 9 Codecs, but still no luck. BUT! When played on a 2000 Box (SP2 plus other hotfixes) it plays fine under WiMP 7.01.00.3055 So, it appears to be the way WiMP handles OLE under XP. Anyone else got a different fix?
