You didn't sound preachy to me. Maybe if you were talking about a spiritual matter it could be seen that way but you weren't. You just drew on a personality we all are familiar with to make the point that one person's ingratitude should not stop a good man from performing good deeds for others. To use the ultimate example of a good man to make that point was appropriate in my view. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Deb Pfingsten" <debpf@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "pchelpers" <pchelpers@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 2004 12:38 AM Subject: [pchelpers] apology > Sorry I sounded "preachy" in my reply. > Especially when I had missed the whole point of Nigel's posting. > Hope everyone can accept my apology and let me keep reading, learning, questioning, and hopefully remembering to thank when the problem is solved. > Deb Of > -------list-services-below----------- > Regards, John Durham (list moderator) <http://modecideas.com/contact.html?sig> > Freelists login at //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi > List archives at //www.freelists.org/archives/pchelpers > PC-HELPERS list subscribe/unsub at http://modecideas.com/discuss.htm?sig > Latest news live feeds at http://modecideas.com/indexhomenews.htm?sig > Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied. > -------list-services-below----------- Regards, John Durham (list moderator) <http://modecideas.com/contact.html?sig> Freelists login at //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi List archives at //www.freelists.org/archives/pchelpers PC-HELPERS list subscribe/unsub at http://modecideas.com/discuss.htm?sig Latest news live feeds at http://modecideas.com/indexhomenews.htm?sig Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
