[pchelpers] MP3 Surgeon stopped working

Recently I tried to use MP3 Surgeon 2003 to split a large file that I
recorded. For some reason the audio feature to locate the position to spli
does not function. I have uninstalled the program, downloaded a fresh copy
from the WEB and re-installed it but I still cannot get the audio to work.
Anyone still using this program or have any suggestions?
