My guess it is a spammers technique. Anti spam programs look among other things for a large number of identical emails. Hence some started to apeend nonsense random characters on the end to foil this. I guess anti spam programs then started to look for lots of nonsense words, so it looks like the spammers have graduated to inserting random dictionary words now.
