Di, I think water meters aren’t too bad (at least at the moment). It is the
smart meters that one has to be careful of as they give off dangerous
emissions. I have one, and this year my total cost this year including both
water and sewage was £42 – my neighbours are paying about £400! - Chris

Is there anyone out there who can help with info on this. Without our knowledge
more and more power is being taken out of our hands and handed to private
companies and big corporations where if we disagree with something or someone
we cannot remove them through the ballot box, and they keep telling us we live
in a democracy. No it's getting more of a tyranny. Di

Jack can you help here. To cut a long story short my daughter is with a Housing
Association and has been moved to another property as the flats where she lived
are being pulled down. She has had a letter from Wessex Water to say all new
tenants private or otherwise have to be fitted with a water meter. According to
what I can find on the internet the government gave all the water authorities
the right to fit water meters because of the shortages of water in some
areas??? So Wessex have now taken upon themselves to fit water meters in every
property when a new tenant or private or new purchaser of the property moves
in. This cannot be right, shouldn't there be a signed contract with them for
this. I will send this out to all to see if anyone has any advice, but if I
remember rightly you have had an up and downer with your water supplier. Di
