Quick note about Bookmans this Sunday.
We need solar scopes
we need runners
And everyone gets a $25 GC from Bookmans for helping.
Mike, bring 2 canopies.
Anyone who can, bring cold drinks.
So, set up is 1pm.
However, if you can set up in less time, feel free to arrive as late as
1:45, for a 2pm start time.
In your RSVP on the site, please mark if you are bringing solar capable
scope, or being a runner, or helping with Q&A, or just being there to help
out. I'd like to know who i have for what purpose. And all help is
appreciated.
We could use one person to sit with MIke and watch his meteorites while he
talks to the people. BYO Chair, just in case Mike doesn't remember to bring
one for you.
Please put in your RSVP by Friday at 3pm, for this event, so i have an idea
of attendance and i can tell Katy who will be attending so she has enough
GC for everyone attending.

Canopy with solar viewing scopes in area in parking lot between Bookmans
and Walgreens.
PAS Table and Mike on sidewalk to catch people walking by to get into
Bookmans, so we can send them to go look at the Sun.

areas since he was in charge of the wildflower trail for 2 years. He feels
there will be spaces for the scopes and presenters but because of the
cactus, trees and flowers each scope will have restricted views in certain
directions. This area is usually dark so it should be OK to show the night
sky. Also there will be large distances between scopes so the runner can

I just took a walk, this morning, in the 110+ degree heat, with
Susan, through the DBG area we are doing the Luminaria event and I have
taken 28 photos of the area which show you the set up locations, talking
about directions that can be seen the best from each location, what size
scope should go into each location, and the name of the location, so that
when we do this event for DBG, we know what we are doing, when, where.
