The current offer is, and i haven't changed this on the site yet until i
can get confirmation of the exact times of the event.
Sunday is canceled.
We are only talking about* Friday night and Saturday* night, for now.

I don't know status of volunteer scopes at this time, still working on

Originally it was food and tent for volunteer scopes.
The only reason i sent this email out earlier than having a booking doc in
my hands and having it all figured out ahead of time, is that Sam suggested
i set up sign ups to get an idea of who wants to do the event so we know we
have enough scopes to do it. This is the process of being the Event
Manager. I have to make sure the pay is worth the event, and i have to make
sure the payee understands and agrees to what we want in exchange for doing
the event.
It started as $300/scope because of the distance to Arcosanti from PVCC.
Then i was told food and tents were provided for scopes to spend the night.
Also, you have free access to the daytime activities, and for that you need
to see the website and get the details of what you can expect from this
event.
I will be adjusting the times of the events and the dates, so your initial
sign up is only to figure out how many scopes are availble to do this event
and which nights.
I'm thinking i want to set it up as 8:30 to 2am. I know that's a long event
and there are an expected 1200 or so people attending, but we should be
able to handle it if we have a good number of scopes availble.
He says he has $5000 to work with to pay PAS. I think that includes the
food he is feeding us. The tents probably don't cost but our attendance
could interfere with those public or patrons, which ever you want to call
them, who could have paid the $200+ to attend this event, and thus, it is
costing them with that much less income to have us there.
Also, this is a dark sky location. Some of you travel out to Antennas for
no money, no bathrooms, no food provided, and you have to bring your own
bed. Which reminds me, i saw something about a tent provided and we bring
our own sleeping bags, or something. i have to look that up and see if that
is what they offer. So, a 'bed' is possibly not being provided but a tent
to sleep in, is. If you see it on the site, send it out to the group for
me. Or if i put it in a previous email... I remember seeing something about
that.
Also, food is provided Fri and Sat all day and night. No food on Sunday.
So, when you get up in the morning, you pack up and go home, and have
breakfast. Some of us have trouble with that, so i will probably bring some
sandwiches for Sunday morning in a cooler, so i have food and can function

Keep an eye there to get all the input you are seeking for this event. As
things change, i will update it and once i have the exact times of the
event, i will take notes on who RSVP'd, for now, and then put the actual
sign up on the site for signup. So, let me know that you are interested.
So, here's what we will do. It doesn't matter to me if you do 1 night or 2
nights. What matters is that you are ok with food, tent and $150/night, no
matter how long the event is. I'm also talking him into not moving the
scopes around. Setting up in both locations from start to finish,
because i'm not willing to take my scope down at midnight and spend another
45 minutes setting it up in the other location to only view another 1.25
hours. I'm asking him why we can't stay set up on the roof, if that is
where we start out.
Signups will also be broken down into the Roof and the Canyon locations.
And i did ask if the roof has an elevator of if we have to haul our
equipment up the stairs, as that makes a difference for some of us as well.
And does the roof have a railing around it. And how much room is availble
on the roof of the building.

I sent Zach the booking doc but nothing is signed and nothing is totally
agreed upon just yet. So, we still have time to decline, or, adjust the
agreement. Your input is requested.
And Sam and I are doing a conference call with Zach next week, on the 15th.
I need to know attendance by then, to give Zach an idea of how many scopes
can attend at $150/night. Let's set a deadline to sign up for the event,
after i make the changes, to Tuesday the 13th, allowing me time to make a
list to provide Zach on the 15th. Thanks.

than 2 hours and if they are feeding and housing us for the night, I want
to be fair. So, $300/night, plus sleep over accommodations in their tent
looking things and food for the entire day you are there prior to that
night's event.
The dates of this event are May 12 13 and 14 of 2017.
The person in charge wants 2 - 4 scopes up on the roof from dark which is
8:30 to 12 midnight, each night.
and then 8 - 10 scopes from midnight to 2am, down in the field/ dark area
of the event.
So, you would be signing up for 2 different areas to to set up in and do
your part of the event.

and travels to just after the Zenith before it vanishes.

As we get closer to the event, you can change your RSVP up to a month
prior to the event, so RSVP now if you think you want to do any of these
times/days and change it up to Apr 10th as the final deadline to get your
RSVP in to me on time, or change the one you already signed up to do.
