I was told that was the way to vote for sound preferences.  If I remember 
correctly, I voted for B when I listened to those choices several weeks ago.

Gene and all,

Just went to this, listened to the sound and found buttons that said “I like 
this” or, “I dislike this,” which I think related to the sound clip.  Do you 
think those buttons relate to the survey, to Youtube, or you don’t have a

The industry itself has done a fair amount of testing, but as I remember, ford 
may not have been involved.  I do hope they pay attention to the work that 
their colleagues and others have already done.

I hope that Ford works with sound engineers, looks at the research on ambient 
sound and its effect on the ability to cross streets, and selects a sound that 
will work best for travelers. There is a great deal of science available.  We 
need the car to make a noise that fits precise decibel and frequency 
requirements, can be quickly recognized, that will be accessible to the 
traveler without masking other traffic sounds, and that can be most readily 
heard by most pedestrians.
