Great to hear a little good news! I saw Matt S at the Mayor's ADA celebration last nightand he said that the DOT training has been confirmed for October 4, and according to him, Janet is one of the trainers. Guess we should confirm that, but it's thrilling news, if it's true. It seems like we have achieve all of our goals and recommendations for this location. The detectable warnings, the various APS installations at optimum locations, and other features combine to make a near-model intersection accessible design. This is a significant success for our coalition. While it may seem like we have focused too much on this single intersection, I think we have demonstrated that our input is valuable and being attended to by the DoT, and this bodes well for success with future collaborations (and conflicts). I look forward to our next meeting, and building on this achievement. Gene Dr. Eugene A Bourquin _____________________________ DHA, COMS, CI & CT, CLVT Support deafblind children in Guatemala!
