Well Nancy it seems to me that one would be facing west unless one is standing
with legs crossed, a difficult but not impossible feat. When one is facing
west at any point on the globe north is always to one’s right and south
conversely is always to the left. However, though geography and math were
among my stronger subjects in school so very long, long ago humility suggests
that I could be wrong.

Call this little puzzle logical thoughts from a bored mind. I’d be interested
to see how many can do this, and it’s not a trick. I suspect the better
mobility travelers will get this quicker, although I’m not one of those. Here
goes. if you’re standing with your left foot south of the equator and your
right foot north of it, which way are you facing? Extra points if you can
explain why. This is just something fun to play with.
