Hi Walt,
I am listening to Richbro Radio as I write. Oh my, my, my, how I’ve missed that
station for the time it was off the air!!! I went onto his web site and
couldn’t find a “contact” link, so I’m wondering if you can drop him a line for
me telling him that you’ve let other blind folks know about his station, and one
(you can give my name) thinks it’s absolutely the best oldies station she’s ever
heard on the net. Love the depth of his play list, the jingles from all over
the country, and the playing of obscure songs. Man, have I ever missed that!!

Suspect you’re right about Harold Laveen and RadioBop. What a shame. I loved
his 50’s and 60’s station the best and his roots of rock beyond that. Not
surprised his wife saw little of him. Guess she's ’ust as happy now since the
stations can be no more. Have been up since writing that e-mail and haven’t
gone back to check on Richbro’s station but am sure it sounds really great.
Didn’t think of changing providers. I’m sure he formats well as I looked at a
few song titles via the Victor Stream, and they looked just fine.

I think the royalty issue may have been what brought Radio Bop’s seven stations
down at the start of this year. Harold Levene, the controller at a mid-sized
Houston law firm, had some unique ideas about formatting, which were doing fine
‘til that time. (His wife called the stations his “black hole” hobby, cause she
never saw that much of him.)
I suspect Richbro took some more time to make all the adjustments that
inevitably go with moving and changing providers, if changing them is what he
did. The station sounds great today, and has for the last five hours, during
which I’ve been aware of its return.

Aaahhh, thanks, Walt!! I like Fun 45’s, but they’re not nearly as conscious
about not playing remakes (I heard three in the time I was listening), and Rich
plays obscurities. I just hope the internet price gouging for royalties that
Congress won’t stop isn’t gonna put Richbro off the air for good.
