I have a microwave oven that I bought from General Electric and they did have
braille labels. I had to call the manufacturer and order them. And yes I'm not
sure if they still do or not. I think whirlpool and Sarah still has them. I
know Amanda did it one time. When their microwave came out with Giles and you
could get the labels. So that's basically all I know about that. Yes washers
and dryer's are kind of expensive and I don't like going to laundromats either.
Where I am now they have a laundromat and you have to buy the smart card and
then put money on it. And the smartcard machine is not accessible so
unfortunately you need cited help. But I do know Amanda made the radar range
and you could get labels for it. I think that range is still made but I'm not
sure. Serious I think has grill overlays and I think whirlpool does this well.
Hopefully more manufacturers will do that. I just switch the cure would make
the coffee makers Mark's decimal. I'm very disappointed in them because the
newer coffee makers that they're making a touchscreen even the cure egg coffee
maker that I have now has buttons. The menu is on the screen and I can't set
the clock if I want to I need cited help. But anyway I had somebody set my room
setting so I could brew at 12 ounce mocha coffee. If the settings somehow gets
changed or whatever I have to get a sighted person to help me change it. And I
talk to the nice people and Karagen about that. But not much is changed in
terms of their excess ability. In some ways I'm disappointed so I don't know if
this information is going to help you or not.

I remember hearing that Whirlpool will send a brailled overlay for some of
their products like washers and dryers. So, are they still doing that? I
have purchased a Whirlpool washer with knobs, so that I could do the laundry
myself once either the dials are marked or brailled. Since its the weekend,
though, I didn’t call Whirlpool, although the guy at BestBuy was very nice to
provide us with their customer service number. Also, does any other
manufacturers do the same? I bought an Amana dryer. BestBuy had a big sell
to celebrate their 50 years in business. However, they were sure more
expensive than when I bought a washer and dryer back in the 90s. Inflation I
guess when cheap is $299 and $399. Oh well, maybe I should have waited until
closer to when we move into a new house, but I was able to delay the delivery
date. I so hate going to the laundry mat to do our clothes.
