Aw'w'w'w'w'w'w, hope you get it one way or another. Don't know if we've got it, but if we do, I'm sure Curt or I will get it to ya.!

Yeppers! I remember in the 1970's when I went to the Al Rancho Club with a group of other disabled people. MMMM, were those steaks so good, but Curt and band were even better!! Talk about a blast from the past, I'm pretty sure Curt was playing bass, and a guy I went to school with … a partially sighted guy named Larry McDonald was playing drums, and I had no idea till you told me just now that Curt was also a drummer!!! Wow, is there anything he can't do? Cook maybe? Wish I could hug ya both!!! Karen thanks so muc for your prayers. Found a gospel LP by B.J. Thomas and really got into that this afternoon and did Steve ever wow me!!! When I was married to my first husband, I borrowed some of our mutual friend's classical LP's, and I heard for the first time a version of "Slaughter on 10th Avenue"on one of those LP's. Bruce knew and told me that the song was originally performed and written by Richard Rogers, who'd just prior to writing this wonderful thing and also "Victory at Sea" stopped writing shows with Larry Hart. Don't know if he was a drunk or if he died or what, but in 1949 "Slaughter on 10th Avenue" was a charting hit for Richard Rogers. It was apparently a charting hit then but thankfully, when I requested the Shadows' version, Steve outshined me. I'd pretty much figured he was gonna play the Ventures' version of the song, which … ya really don't wanna know what I think of the Ventures' song. Anyway, Steve found this absolutely wonderful version of the song by Evelyn Glenny. I'd remembered realizing she was deaf … lost totally her hearing at … 17 or thereabouts. That lady can really wail on the drums! Yet I heard her for the first time tonight playing a mirimba I think, and I'm thinking, okay how does she do it? Admittedly she was a hearing person at one time and maybe she was starting to learn her trade when she could hear, but mirimbas aren't the only things she plays according to Steve … vibrophones and other stuf as well? How on earth is she doing it? How's she playing tunes she absolutely can't hear now? I was totally enraptured with that version of this instrumental … Evelyn Glenny and who knows which symphony orchestra… and is Steve ever gonna laugh when he hears me on the phone call to the loveline I made as soon as the instrumental was over! I'm going, "Oh my word … and eventually "Please O please can I have that?" (of course a copy.

Well, he does play guitar, but he really shines on the drums and bass.

musically complicatedsong!! Thank you, Curt, so much for sharing this with us!
