Curt, my thoughts and prayers are with you. What a sad day, especially since
Fazi was a wonderful guide dog for you. He lived longer than most dogs of his
breed do, and it sounds as if he worked harder and understood so well what you
wanted him to do. A very sad day indeed. I watched my friend Gina go through
it a couple of years ago when she had to put Hesper down. She awoke one morning
and Hesper had collapsed on the kitchen floor of her apartment. I was the first
person she called, and of course, she was extremely upset, knowing that putting
her down was probably the only thing she could have done. Hesper was only able
to make one sound to indicate that she was still alive after she collapsed.

this time of grieving for fozzy will pass as quickly as possible, but it isn't
easy once bonding takes place to pass through the grieving process.
