Yes, is one reason why I don't like nologging operations in production.
Question: Would flash recovery assist in recovery when datafiles are
deleted or corrupted?
Assuming you mean flashback database: No, as it relies on regular
transactions, if the files no longer can be read or written, flashback
database cannot use them either.
