This went relatively smoothly for me. DO print and follow carefully the = upgrade instructions - there are some important ones, like temporarily = turning off system level triggers with a line in your init.ora. Check = to make sure that all of your kernal parameters are set at the = recommended levels or better - some of them have been upped. We had a = nasty problem with a runaway tnslsnr process until we realised that a = memory size setting in the kernal was too low. -----Original Message----- From: Andrey Bronfin [mailto:andreyb@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, January 29, 2004 8:34 AM To: oracle-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx; oracledba@xxxxxxxxxxx Subject: upgrade from 8.1.6 to 8.1.7 Hi friends !
