You should have found a CPU time,
and a couple of I/O times (seek and block
transfer) in aux_stats$ that get set at database
startup. 10g will be using the mechanism,
even if there aren't any values for the rest
of them - so it's a good idea either to
disable the feature, or to set some suitable
values.

Subject: system statistics in 10g

Hi,

I was reading oracle docs and it mentioned that "system statistics" are
enabled by default but when I query aux_stats$ TABLE they are not there
and only when I ran dbms_stats.gather_system_stats they are inserted
into this table. Do I need to set some parameter to enable these on 10g
or they have same behavior as of 9i?

Thanks
