Hello,

The log_buffer setting is rounded up to nearest granule size. Have a look at Metalink Note:351857.1.

Even though log_buffer is set to 1M, on Database Startup it is automatically getting reset to 14MB (shown below)
NOTE – sga_target=0
NOTE – Online Redo logfile size = 1 GB

Oracle 10.2.0.3
HP-UX 11.31

Any ideas why?
