Huh? CA has someone working on ERwin? Thats news. That tool hasnt
been improved since CA bought it (and jacked the price up out of
sight)...

You are correct, the early adopter release is currently
free to
use, though they want feedback on what you think about it. The
next
question is how much are they going to charge us for this
extension to a
free tool? I'll admit it's worth a couple of bucks just due to
the
reverse engineering capability they built in, although IF I were
a CA
employee working on ERWIN I don't think I'd worry too much. My
biggest
gripe about the tool is that it doesn't like to center diagrams
on an A4
or larger sheet of paper from a plotter. Sure they can fix
that.

According to the FAQ, it's a "cost option":

http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/sql_developer/files/d
        atamodelingfaq.html#model
<http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/sql_developer/files/
d%0Aatamodelingfaq.html#model>

Perhaps this doesn't apply to the standalone early adopter
version...
