All seems to be fixed now on //www.freelists.org/archive/oracle-l, monthly
archives have content and two different search boxes have appeared (didn't
notice them before) and are working. The google search of the orafaq site
doesn't return any documents older than 2007.

All the monthly archives are empty and although the search returns matches,
most of them return this error when you click on the link.
"Post not found.  If you were referred here by another page at FreeLists,
please tell us about this error so we can resolve the issue."
cheers

Freelists works for me... for example I found 4 threads mentioning your name -
3 in 2010 and 1 in 2007. Meanwhile you can always search the orafaq site using
Google with a search string like "site:www.orafaq.com/maillist/oracle-l/
dbms_system".
