Again, not optimizer related, but two bugs that have hit us particularly hard
(and caused a lot of frustration) are related to tablespace size monitoring.
These affect OEM as well so our monitoring ha
poiuytres been affected resulting is minor outages to applications at times:

DBA_TABLESPACE_USAGE_METRICS after upgrade to 11.2.0.4 - superseded) can be

DBA_TABLESPACE_USAGE_METRICS.tablespace_size can be incorrect for ASM

As noted, there are patches to fix these, but, with almost 200 databases, it
takes a while to get the patches rolled out. In the interim, we have had to
use a custom metric which avoids the view DBA_TABLEPACE_USAGE_METRICS to
calculate space usage.
If we could do it again, we would have most certainly rolled these patches with
the 11.2.0.4 patchset.
