Ray,

Potential vendors are Oracle (obviously) and Quest for
SharePlex.

Oracle version 7 databases should be upgraded to at least 8i
(8.1.7.4) ASAP. Oracle 9i thinks 7.x uses a foreign language.=20

One way, use Materialized views. Works fine.

Two way, get enterprise edition & advanced replication support,
multi master. Works well. Setting it up the first time is confusing as
all getout. After that it's easy. Shareplex isn't too much of a help
here, it gets into an infinite loop.

Subject: Replication Compatibility And Issues

Hi All,

=20

We have several Oracle databases with different versions i.e. Oracle
7.3.4, Oracle 8i and Oracle 9i. We need to keep data in sync between
these databases. One way of achieving this is to use Oracle Replication.

I need to find the answers to the following questions.=20
