Hi Uwe,

It depends on the OS/Clustering Platform. There are a lot of platform
centric Interconnects and these generally provide much better latency than
the traditional gigabit ethernet.

For.e.g HP - Hyper Fabric Interconnect, Veritas- LLC, Sun-RSM

Most of these interconnects use a propreitory protocol. Oracle recommends to
use UDP based protocols only.

Best Regards

Hello all,

I am looking into alternatives to ethernet for a RAC interconnect.
Does anybody of you have experiences with another technology
for the interconnect and would like to share them?
