Hello guru's,Jeremy, I haven't seen such behavior, but it looks like a bug. Simply put registry history is not updated when the DBID is changed. Please open a SR with Oracle Support.
AIX 7.1
Oracle RDBMS 12.1.0.2.3
Applying patches
22291127 (APRIL 2016 PSU)
22674709 (JVM patch)
I'm seeing some odd behavior with a PSU after I perform a refresh (using EMC
SNAP Clone). As a part of the refresh, I'm running an NID to change the SID.
Even tho the patches were already applied in the source environment, it seems
as if they don't exist in the target environment. Applying the sql in the
patches fixes the problem. The patch was applied to both OH's prior to the
refresh.
Has anyone encountered an issue like this? If so, did you see a fix for it?
I've engaged Oracle, but nothing just yet.
Just curious. Thanks!
Jeremy
