PB9 slow response

I realize this is a DB list but worth an ask anyway. I am running
PowerBuilder 9 and PowerBuilder 10 (latest builds) on my XP PC. I run
my app using the 8.0.4 driver and all is good. I switch to the 10g
driver and it slows down to a crawl. I switch back and all is fine.
Anyone else having issues with this? Any possible workarounds?
I have the problem narrowed down to one select statement which is a
simple select. I pull this select out and run it in Toad and it runs
fine within seconds.
