You have to choose create new db, in order for it to prompt you
for save as scripts. Otherwise, all you get is a XML template.

I can only get the tool to create an ugly html script. Is there any way
to create a standard text script?

Thanks!
Ron

Ron, truthfully as much as I hate the GUI tools, for any new version or
platform, i run the dbca or dbassist or whatever the heck they call it
now. Have oracle build (but not run) all of the scripts out of the tool
and use it as a baseline when doing experimentation on a new platform or
OS.
