I didn't note the date on that Metalink note; as I don't follow the Solaris platform particularly closely, this subtlety of Oracle licensing is new to me no matter when it was announced.
Hmmm... "Solaris Containers" *sounds* a lot like software partitioning, but Oracle is recognising it as hardware partitiioning. Nice. I wonder if similar changes are coming for VMware...
