Not yet. With help we have tuned some queries and that has helped
additionally, but there are still spikes that slows everything. We noticed
yesterday that context switching goes really high (300,000 +) when the spike
hits. We're trying to determine why that is.

exactly WHICH version of Oracle are you running? 9.2.0.what?
