Sounds like Solaris 10 x86_64 is worth a trial then.

Don't confuse Solaris 10 x86_64 with that old thing
called Solaris x86. That former is a real Solaris
implementation, the latter being a skunk-works project
with poo focus at Sun and poorer at Oracle (remember, Larry
didn't port 9i for Solaris x86).
