Metalink 132904.1 has all the details you need on compatibility between
exp/imp and different database versions. To summarize, it's not
supported to go from 9i to 7, but you could try running the v7 exp
against the 9i database and see how it goes. It might just depend on
what features you're using in your 9i database.
