Sounds good, Ill try that today on my home Linux environment and see what happens. I searched previously for cloning on metalink and all the docs came back for information 10.2 or greater. If this works smoothly, it could be very good.

Upgrading the databases is not an option. Finding a new job is not an

I have had to apply a CPU to one instance out of three on a Solaris 9,
Oracle 10.1.0.5 installation.
