So doubt that it will purge plain-text logs kept for compatibility purposes.
This is somehow confirmed in Bug #6800147 "ADRCI PURGE COMMAND DOESN'T WORK 
WHEN DELETE
ALERTLOG USING AGE OPTION" closed as "Not a bug".'

I'm guessing mv is the answer for listener.log.
